While The Overflow officially launched in early 2025, its roots go back more than 15 years. Founders Nate and Cherie first connected through a shared love of marketing, creativity, and solving real business challenges with strategy that actually works.
Over the years, working in separate businesses—Nate through Innovnate and Cherie through Red Knot Design—they kept coming up against the same frustrating truth: most marketing agencies were missing the mark. Campaigns were surface-level, relationships were transactional, and results were rarely lasting. There was a clear gap between what businesses needed and what they were getting.
Rather than continue separately, they joined forces to build something different. The Overflow was created to flip the script—prioritising relationship over transaction, strategy over noise, and action over vanity metrics.
Nate brings deep experience in marketing innovation, digital strategy, and technology; Cherie brings a powerhouse blend of implementation expertise, copywriting skill, and strategic thinking.
